In a typical Newbridge College 5/6-year cycle we offer our students the opportunity to go on two main trips: a 1st year trip and a Transition year trip.
Smaller trips may be organised occasionally for small groups of students, e.g. India, Lourdes, London, theatre performances, Uisce, etc.
1st Year Trip
Currently, in 1st year students are offered a chance to travel to Manchester for a weekend. Typically, this would involve taking in a premiership soccer game for the boys and a day trip to Alton Towers for the girls, among other activities.
TY Trip
In Transition year, the students will be offered a chance to go on a traditional Ski Trip or a more traditional style school tour, usually to a country outside of Europe. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students to have amazing experiences and create lifelong memories with their friends. Previous out of Europe tours included Dubai and Florida as destinations.
2025 Tour – Orlando, Florida
This year half of our Transition Year students will be travelling to Orlando Florida. Orlando is the ‘Theme Park Capital of the World’ with legendary theme parks, world-class water parks, outdoor thrill rides and activities in nature. Our students will get the opportunity to visit some of these theme parks, see an NBA basketball game, visit the Kennedy Space Centre, tour the rich wildlife swamps on an airboat amongst other activities. This trip is sure to combine education, fun and unforgettable memories in the Sunshine State.
2025- Ski Trip- Dolomites, Italy
This year's ski trip will travel to the stunning slopes of Madonna di Campiglio where students will experience 5 hours of ski lessons each day for six days. For many, it will be their first time experiencing the thrill of skiing and we know they will rise to the challenge. This trip is a fantastic opportunity for students to build resilience, teamwork, and confidence. In the evening, students will enjoy other activities such as a quiz night, pizza night and disco. This trip won’t just be about skiing-it will be about stepping out of comfort zones, embracing the adventure, having fun in a winter wonderland and making memories of a lifetime with friends.
